Get out your calendar and mark this year’s homecoming game vs. IOWA on October 13 at 12:00 noon.  Our tailgate party will start three hours prior to the game.  ** This is a premium game and ticket price is $80.00.

Your Football Player’s Association will be honoring Biggie Munn (1947-1953) & Duffy Daugherty (1954-1972) – former Coaches of the Year (4 times).  We have just been informed that both Biggie and Duffy will be honored and enshrined into the Spartan “Ring of Fame” in Spartan Stadium.

This year’s reunion will be our 9th since the start of our organization.  The MSUFPA is growing and we need your support starting with Friday night’s dinner at the Kellogg Center.  We need you to contact any teammates and also, please send me a list of any teammates that you may have information on (phone number, address, email, etc.).  It is very important that we have your email address also even if you cannot be here!

The homecoming game this year is against Iowa, and it will be a sell-out.  The athletic department, under the direction of Athletic Director Mark Hollis, is having us as their guests for the game.  Each player, manager or coach will receive two tickets to the game.  However, in order to qualify for tickets, you must attend the Friday dinner or Saturday tailgate, and pay the $20 administrative fee.  Our tickets will be limited so get yours early…first come, first serve on the tickets.  Remember: “Sign up early”!

This weekend is for all of our members, players, managers and coaches to honor Biggie Munn & Duffy Daugherty.  Dinner tickets for MSUFPA members and their families will cost $40 each.  Checks will be made out to Michigan State University.  We would like to have 100% attendance at Friday night’s dinner.  What a thrill to catch up and share stories with all of your teammates at the Kellogg Center!

Pam at the Football Office will continue to handle the reservations for the Friday night dinner at Kellogg Center, the tailgate party, and the request for game tickets.   Remember, you must attend either the Friday night dinner, or the tailgate and pay a $20 processing fee to get two free tickets to the game.  We look forward to seeing you for homecoming weekend and celebrating those great championship years.  Don’t forget to bring your camera.
